The vehicle has a perfect amalgamation of automobile engineering and technology marked with excellent build quality. This is the reason that Chevrolet Tavera Neo2 has become extremely popular in India as in the rest of the world.
Design and Styling
The Chevrolet Tavera Neo2 has all new body graphics that give it a sportier look. It sets the mood just right to get in stride and take on the challenge. The chrome grille in the front enhances its tough looks. It also has a rear step-in bumper. All the corners and the bumper are body colored which give it a great finish. The addition of aluminum side steps make it convenient to get in and out of the vehicle. The tinted glass is just apt for the Indian weather.
Chevrolet Tavera Neo2 has plush interiors with wood finishes used liberally. The upholstery and the interiors are dual tone beige finish and give it a rich and classy touch. Chevrolet Tavera Neo2 rightly competes with the Toyota Innova with revamped interiors. Tavera when launched in India became more popular with the mass segment because of its ten seater and lugging capacity. Though this feature still holds true, but with the new revamped Tavera Neo2 things have changed. The dashboard looks quite interesting with enough room for all your travel nick knacks. The seats are comfortable and there is enough leg room for each passenger. The last row of seats may seem to be a bit too tight but they are not that bad. The power steering wheel has a three spoke look. Interestingly, the spare wheel is placed under the roof which makes the rear look clean.
The only feature where the Tavera Neo2 lacks is the safety bits such as the airbags etc. Though, this has the rear child lock facility which makes it quite secure for the young ones.
Performance and Handling
The Chevrolet Tavera Neo2 is powered by a powerful 2.5 liter diesel turbo engine that unleashes a power of 80ps. Besides, the robust engine that does its part, it also has a very good suspension that perfectly suits the Indian roads. Not only that, Tavera gives you pretty lucrative mileage ratings of 14.1kmpl on city rides and an impressive 20.1kmpl on highways. The 205/65 R15 alloy wheels ensure that one has a comfortable ride. The gear box and the braking system are two areas where Chevrolet really needs to work on if it is to beat its competitors. The ride quality is good, if not excellent. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the way the vehicle allows it to be handled by its driver.
Rating
Chevrolet Tavera Neo2 gets good points as far as the handling, mileage and comfort is concerned. Also the lugging capacity of the vehicle is excellent. Overall, I would rate the vehicle 3.5/5.
