Design and Styling
Fiat Linea has quite sleek and stylish looks that is sure to grab attention on the roads. The smooth silhouette, flawless aerodynamic designing, dual parabolic headlamps and the 15” superb alloy wheels – what more one would ask for in a car. And not just this, Fiat Linea comes with well tested safety features as well and that too at a price that is sure to impress the customers. As you go behind the wheels, the story of princely charm continues. The interiors of Fiat Linea feel fresh and pleasant. The interiors are plush and done in beige and black. Ergonomics and design aesthetics are at there best. All the controls are well placed and within reach. The controls for audio and Bluetooth mobile are placed on the steering wheel, which is a very well thought feature. It goes beyond saying that the seats at both front and rear are comfortable. The rear seats can be double-folded which increases the storage space, which is already 500 liters. An extra tray and cup holders at the rear seat armrest comes quite handy. Still looking for additional? There are two glove boxes! Another useful feature that is superbly designed for Indian weather conditions is the flexible curtain at the rear.
Safety and Comfort
Fiat Linea has a tilt steering and the adjustable driver’s seat add to the driving experience. The rear air condition vents are at the foot and head levels, which ensure perfect cooling for the rear passengers. The cabin is spacious and has enough room to fit in all sizes.
Safety wise, Fiat Linea has dual front airbags. Then there is the EBD and the ABS that add to it. Also, the Fire Prevention System cuts off the fuel supply in case of any accident. The trip meter has a programmable speed alarm system. Digital door open indicator will indicate the driver in case any door has not been properly closed. A lot of such features that are well thought and been installed to ensure complete passenger safety.
Performance and Handling
The Fiat Linea is available in multijet engine and the Fire form engine. The 1.3liter engine returns a power of 86PS at 4000rpm. The brakes are quite progressive and return a good response. Altogether, a delightful driving! The suspension is good enough to tackle the bumps and potholes on the roads, without compromising on the comfort of the passengers inside. The only area which it hurts is the slow pick-up.
Rating
The overall Fiat Linea package is impressive without much complains. It will surely carve out its own niche in the race for comfortable and good family cars. I would rate it 4.5/5.
